I need some help on beep codes... The other PCI have keeps beeping 2-8-2 and all I can find about that code is that it is an internal memory problem... I have replaced thememory with new and I stil get the beep code... Can anyone help me out more? Thanks

the beep codes used to be very specific to a problem, but with todays boards you will only get a general fault about a certain part, in this case, memory. that's all you are going to find out from it

because you tried new memory, I would say it is either the memory controller, or the DIMM slot that is causing the error

8 is normall Video card.

Long Beeps normally mean memory.

Mind you, this varies from motherboard manufacturer to another.

It depends more on what bios you have.

It is so much easier having a lcd display on the motherboard (or post card) If only the codes match what is in the manual, lol.

Try putting the memory in different dimm slots.

Turn the pc on with only the bare minimum connected, cpu one stick of memory, intergrated graphics, if the board has it, or different card.

Thanks all.. I post more of the specs when I have time...Ill look into it more and if I need help ill hollar
