Did not get as **** faced as I was hoping to get last night. Where i was celerbrating 10 years of IT, friend of mine just found out that his previous boss is talking **** to any one that is ringing up about his job reference.

I've been working as a tech for 5 1/2 years and now I'm essentially unemployed, rofl. So congrats on having an IT job after 10 years and have fun getting wasted, haha.

I just got unemployed last week, i feel your pain man. I got approved for unemployment benefits tho :freak:.

Lot of that going around. I'm in the same boat, and so will Peter (as soon as his CC location closes down). There's not of tech jobs out there, at least not in my area. I wish you luck, though.

Thanks man, not much tech jobs here either. If anything comes to worse i might go Army national guard or to the air guard. Life is a mystery....

Any certs is a huge plus and if you have a degree that is even better. I am currently applying at any IT job i see available and wish for the best.

It helps but it isn't a huge thing. All i've heard from any recruiter and job placement specialist is that unless you have something like an MCSE if you don't have work epxerience people don't give a crap about certifications. It is a plus, and will help you stand out if you've already had experience in the field. But if you dont' have experience certifications DO NOT come close to work experience.

I don't have that option. 40 years old and too overweight.

The great BS of IT. If you don't have experience they won't even consider you, but you can't get experience without an IT job.
