Try telling me that yesturday.

I spent 4 hours yesterday in court as i was chacing some one up for money not paid.
A 4 man hours on site job cost me about another 10 hours in trying to chase this person up for money.

in the end, i did win. But the amount of scewing around that I had to do.

but im saying u can make a living off something that u dont hate doing. i dont think u hate working on computers.. or u wouldn't be here helping ppl like me that need ppl like u to learn lol

I don't hate computers.
I don't hate helping people out.
I just hate the shape of the computer industry in the way that it's been flooded and prosituted.

It's one of the reasons why we (the company I work for) specialises in Point Of Sales as there is a room for making money there. Even if we make no money on the hardware there, it the service contract afterwards that counts.

I agree with Harper here, and I'm still in college learning languages, but WHY do people that call you to come to their house / business / whatever else expect to not pay you what your time is worth?

Would you go down to your local Ford/GM/Chrysler Dealership, bring in your vehicle, explain what you want fixed (sometimes we don't even get that luxury) then tell them you're not going to pay their price to have it fixed?

No, you pay the bill, because they know what they're doing and if you're like me, you probably don't know your timing chain from a hole in the ground, and you'd rather pay them what their worth to do it right than ask them to do it cheaply, not respect their knowledge/craftsmanship and have a belt come off.

I guess another stupid thing that just pisses me off the most is when you ask them for their factory disks, and they look at you like you were supposed to have it. Would a mechanic have a key to EVERY car when you bring it in? Then why should we have every Operating System known to man in our backpacks?

I agree with pretty much everything said so far. I dont know why kids are thinking they are hackers/hacking, just because they can log onto someone elses account cuz they found it. I think most people are trying to be smart or cool or something of that nature.
