I mean, it's not like you're loosing out. Links are like 15 words long at most, unless you have a really tiny screen i don't see how it affects anyone.

I honestly did not notice it until now. I went to google and searched something just to see what you were talking about. Not really sure what is there to hate about it. But I've seen people hate stupider things so whatever.
