Google adsense works?

I hear about how google adsense is one of the best features of the web that ACTUALLY can help you make money off a website, if you have qualitized content.

I want to know if this is actually true. I've only clicked about 5 google ads in my life.

If no one clicked popups or banner ads, what will drive them to click google ads?

Just not sure. My friend and I want to start making some money, but we don't want to waste our time as well.

I suppose people kind of trust google, I mean, which do you trus the most, some weard site with a thousand popups and porn adds or google?

Google simply amazes me with something new at least once a month....

Did anyone else besides myself see the potential in Google when they were just a search engine and buy stock??? And it's only going to get better....
