The gimp

last night i was bored and i read there was a program similar to photoshop. Since i had never used either programs, i downloaded the gimp and just clicked on the menus.

here is what i made:

lots of menus, I couldn't find one to change the colors, but oh well.

i think the shadow looks kind of crappy.

what do you think.

i want to alter real pictures, but i have no idea how to do it right now.

Gimp really rocks!But I prefer using Photoshop,I think it's more profesional....

well, of course photoshop is the absolute king. But like i said, i had never used either plus i simply can't afford the $400+.
I do have access to computers with photoshop installed though, but since i'm new i just wanted to practice some on a freeware program.

shadows dont have eyes. They are solid objects( i guess you could say objects). But it looks good

yeah, all this layers thing was kind of confusing. and i noticed the eyes on the shadow, i just didn't feel like spending more time fixing it

Photoshop is great but the Gimp is a program that will rival it and it's free.
