Re: Re: Getting a car
I'm no advocate for Hyundai, but this is about the third time I've said this:
Hyundai bought a brand new manufacturing plant about 3-4 years ago (if memory serves me right), and they have been making leaps and bounds in terms of safety, reliability, construction, and quality.
Don't rule out a newer Hyundai.
And as for the Mustang: Fun car, but impractical. The Mustang is not a do-it-all kinda car for a teenager in a snowy area (TO, Canada). Rear-wheel drive SUCKS in the snow. And besides, Chankama said "Nothing Fancy".
I recommend getting a 4-door car with a relatively large trunk, with low miles, and a decent engine with some kick to it (4cyl. engines def. do the job if made right - my Focus has plenty to it), and Front wheel drive. AWD or 4WD if you find something nice, but front wheel drive will be more practical for gas mileage and is generally a great option anyway.
