gamer handle question

my gamer handle is "pr0xy", and ive been using this handle for about 2 years now, and i really like it. the thing is, i cant use this to sign up for e-mail accounts like gmail and yahoo, since the username has to be 6 characters or more. is there like a rule where gamer handles have to be 6 characters or more?

Mine started out as Metr0 but like you I had trouble using it so I stuck 1973 on the end (the year I was born) and hey presto, I can use it anywhere.LOL
