‘Futurama' returns with new episodes | Sympatico / MSN TV Guide

After six years off the air and rumours of a comeback, it's finally official: Futurama is being resurrected.

After Fox cancelled the sci-fi animated series in 2003, a spokesperson for 20th Century Fox Television now confirms that Comedy Central has ordered 26 new episodes of Matt Groening and David X. Cohen's comedy, which will begin airing in mid-2010, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Yay.......... I love the show, though I found the 3rd movie alittle lacking.

Oh man this is great, Futurama was always one of my favorite shows and I've watched it since the first episode. It's cool how Comedy Central tends to lead to the resurrection of good TV shows, Futurama and Family Guy being notable examples.

That was probably one of the movies they made. I think they showed them on comedy central and split each one into three episodes or something. Those were pretty weak. I really hope the new episodes are better. Futurama is one of my favorite shows of all time. The characters are what makes the show. Zoidberg FTW!!!

Yeah I think it was a movie split up, and yeah it was horrible and it made me sad.

Too bad we don't get Comedy Central here...we get a dedicated 24/7 porn channel on basic cable, but no Comedy Central or Adult Swim to be found

There will be other ways though and mid 2010 is still a year away.
