Free Internet? WTH?

I just moved into my new townhouse *yay*

anyway when i hooked up all my appliances booted my computer/modem i noticed my cable internet is working as im writing this message!
the thing is that i didn't call my ISP as its still registered to my old address and that my whole neighborhood is hooked up to the main company to cable TV
my cable internet is the same company as my Cable TV , what is this?

BTW i used a splitter to connect my TV/Modem

Forgot to mention we all as in neighborhood, pay 1 bill together

i dont think its to due with cancellation, might be a glitch or something because the cable im using right is suppose to be used for Cable TV , but since i connected my modem to it works, i might cancel my internet service from my old address and not send back the modem and see how long this lasts

True. AND if you DON'T send it back, they will bill you for it.

They can always damage your credit and ruin your credit report if you don't pay up.

I understand all the consequences i can go through but they wont know where im living in now when i can just call from my old house and say i want to cancel.
My new phone number will be up in Aug 1 and at the same time my old number will be gone

No bills from the cable company will come to my town house since everyone is connected as one & that the bill we a pay goes in together with the rent we pay
