Some one that I WORK FOR (not mensioning any names) desided to take the heat sink off of his AMD Athlon Xp 1700 CPU.

2 years later, I am still trying to work out what going through his mind at the time.

That is actually a hardware fault. At this stage now one know what it is that is causing that problem. I have a BenQ CDRW Drive. BenQ Australia was about to knock it back saying that is was poor quality media. This all changed when I told that it was a legit music disk.

Wrong Choice of words there. Lightning BLOWS!!!

Customer has one of those. Even the VGA Connection of the Video card had burn marks. :eek:
 
i burnt a floppy drive:

i was fixing a comp, i plugged in the floppy drive and i herd a sizzle, and smoke came out of it, then it whirred up and started working normally, wierd????

oh, it's a little box that goes fzzzzt!
I've always wanted one of those!
- that one's from Kryten in Red Dwarf

thankfully nothing expensive of mine has died, a 12.7 gig HDD, and a 4x CD burner (both were poor quality)
