Ford Mustang car question

Please we all can sit here and rattle of the cars we have owned and the issues we have had with them. I know more people that have had issues with Ford than Chevy. While for others it will be the opposite.

Get over it. I have seen everything from a Escort to a Ranger to a Explorer all die before 50K miles were hit. I have seen Fords go to 100K miles. I have seen Chevy's that are nothing but trouble from the minute they are driven off the lot to some that have gone 200K+. I had a Dodge that went for 200+ before i got rid of it for a Chevy.

So yeah we all can gripe about 1 over the other. It is no different than PC parts. Everyone has their own experience. No 2 people will have the same experience. Heck i had a Great Uncle that worked for Ford and a Uncle that worked for Chevy. They are both good vehicles if taken car of properly. buying used you never know if the previous owned maintained the vehicle right. Just like buying PC parts used.

So dont get into "ZOMG NOT CHEVY" or "ZOMG NOT FORD" cause plain and simple, unless you buy the vehicle brand new off the lot and you know every single mile on that car, there is no guarantee that it will last.

actually, I think it depends more on the owner than the car. If you take good care of your car, then your car will take good care of you. Change its oil every 2k, use high grade oil, 89 oct. gas, and basically do vehicle maintence 2x as often as you should. yes it costs more, but the car will last longer. we have a 2001 ford explorer that has 140k on it and still drives like it did when it drove off the lot. we took it to a shop to have the ac recharged and they did a free full diagnosis on the engine and they said the compression for each cylinder is within showroom spec, burns 0 oil, passes smog with no problem, etc... cranks in 3 turns - v6

1985 dodge ram, 260k on it, has one bad valve guide and a worn timing chain. engine never taken apart, never driven hard, always maintained. started within two cycles of the starter, etc... smokes a little, but thas from the valve guide on cylinder 4. - l4

1996 chevy s10, only engine maintainted. vehicle drives like crap but runs forever. looks like garbadge, covered in paint, dented, out of allignment, doors dont latch right, fabric ripped, but open the engine bay and it looks like new. cranks in 3 turns - v6

I'm satisfied with my 2008 Mustang GT. There's a small minor rattle, if I shift fast into 3rd or 5th, before the car is warmed up; it will grind. Other than that no problems.
