I know most of the times additional warranty for electronics is a waste of money. but for some items I still buy them. and for the first time my iPod Touch warranty from Squaretrade actually paid off!
Their warranty is pretty easy. Sent an e-mail to describe the problem. they responded back with RMA info and pre-paid shipping label. After they received it at their repair center, they took their sweet time to look at it. And 6 days later they notified me the iPod is un-repairable and sent me a check in the mail. Check was sent a day after the e-mail, and I had it in my hands within a week.
They keep you updated with e-mails throughout the whole process, which i liked very much. I am now contemplating on purchasing their warranty again for the Nexus 7.
