Finally....

I remember when we got cable. I was on a 36 kbps connection that usually ran at less then 28. It's a huge jump and it's a lot of fun. It can spoil you after a while though. I remember dealing with dial-up connections on other computers belonging to friends and such a few months after getting cable...you actually somewhat forget how painful it is. It seems MUCH slower then you remember. I average at about 750 kbps on my cable connection right now. The most I ever get is 1.2 mbps, occasionally it'll go down to around 450. I'm satisfied.

Congratulations, and have fun downloading megabytes after megabytes of random stuff just because you can.

I recently upgraded to Comcast. They had a better deal than I was getting: 4M Down / 384K Up.

I get sustained download speeds of 500KBps. (Almost a meg more than advertised)

You lot are so lucky! my dad won't get me broadband so im stuck with the classic 46.6k:( O well, at least it's x2 faster then other dial up users:p

I'm using road runner cable and the fastest d/load times I've hit have only been around 240k
