Since you didn't get it they're still liable so I think there's a good chance of getting your money back, or at least whatever the package was insured for. FedEx is usually pretty good about it from what I've heard you've just got a little convincing to do. And don't ever admit anything like "Yeah the ppl next door are kinda shady..." or anything like that. They'll use it as a weapon against you.

I think Trotter knows a fair bit about FedEx as it happens I think he deals with them alot in his job.

I really don't think the driver signed for it and kept it himself.


FedEx/UPS drivers hold the highest paying non-management position in the company. They make around 60K a year, and have to work their way up inside the company to get to be a driver.

I know i wouldint risk my job for a stupid lil mp3 player.

Follow Dave's suggestion of demanding to see the signature. Go down to their office and sign something so they can see the difference (if the person signed your name). Press the issue or you are screwed.

What the neighbors did or did not do is not your problem. If the driver left the package with someone else it is his responsibility, not yours.

I suppose that it also wouldn't hurt to contact the vendor that sold it to you. I recently had a situation in which I had a proof of delivery from the USPS, but the customer said that he had not received it. I sent out a replacement at no charge as a measure of goodwill. Most vendors probably would not do this, and probably not for such an expensive product but you never know. It is worth a call because they also may have more weight with Fedex (e.g., if they are a big customer of Fedex, they may be able to get you satisfaction more quickly.)

I got the signature via my tracking page.. So somebody definitally signed my name.

I'm calling FedEx back right now to see if any progress has been made.

I really do think the neighbors stole it.. I've heard they've stole packages before.... I should put on my spy gear and crawl through a window.

Ask for the signature , itself not who signed it. Then show them you sign it differently.

The tracker page shows me a copy of the signature, Its haggard hand writing.

I called them and it seems like they're just going to find out where the guy delivered it... So what? What if they don't give it back? Will fedex help me?

I called in again, they're still waiting for a response from the driver... Roar. The lady said she'd call Apple and see what she could do, Obviously nothing, but at least she's trying.

**UPDATE.

I have an old FedEx box with my info printed on the side.. I put some wrapping and an old broken CD drive into it... Taped it up.. Monday morning if I still havent heard back from FedEx... I'm planning a sting operation. I'll print off some gay porn to put in the box, next to the CDROM.

I think I would pass on that part. But yeah, put a box on the porch and see what happens. If they grab it, have them arrested.
