I made an internet video, that seemed to be very popular.
But the video ended up on (not all sources, but a good amount):

ebaumsworld.com
msn.ca
compfused.com
wtfpeople.com
foundrymusic.com
youtube.com
stupidvideos.com

Out of the 8 that have the video posted, I only specifically gave it to 2 of them. The rest of them used it without permission. And out of the ones that used it out of permission, 3 stipped the video of all credits.

Ebaumsworld was one of websites that stripped the credits, I cleared this up with them and they replaced the video with a version that leaves the credits intact.

Now another website that I am not going to name.......They have my video on there, and the credits are stripped. But they made sure they put their watermark on the video. I asked them to either remove it or I will give them another copy that was just a simple line of credits at the end of it. They basically told me to **** off.

Because of that, I want to take them to court for stripping the video of all credits, and for using it to make advertising profits off of. The video received about 5000 hits on that particular website.

My guess is that they make 25 cents for each view because this website is completely filled with ads and popups (porn popups to be exact)

So do you guys think i have a case?

normally others hosting the video for others to see is fine but removing your rights to the film and adding their watermark basically says that "you" didn't make this we did.

Yes you have a case under the Intellectual Property.

What kind of video if it ended up on a sight like that?

I don't think you would get "a ton O money" from the case... but I do think you have one.

if they really did remove your credits and added their own watermark... that could be a really big problem.

its that gamecube video.

I didnt read your story, but I saw that you live in America...so the answer, obviously, is YES! YES! YES! Of course you have a case.

Yeah you definately have a case. Especially after they de-authorized it and signed it themselves.

wat the other guy said, u live in america, you can win a case for anything. "i spilt hot coffee on my hand, and it magically burned give me $90 million"

Of course you could man. And yeah, you should do "something" about it. Tards like that need to be taught a lesson. How you are going to finance a lawyer is beyond me though. I doubt you'll win a large settlement. So if you know a lawyer as a personal friend, time to tap his back.

Also, please post a link to the video from one of the "legit" sites. :)

EDIT:

On second thought, if you tell one of those "rights" organizations, they might just send their lawyers after these guys. hehe.. I think that's ur best bet.
