LMAO !. What an idiot, but with fairness to the guy. Why the **** did he need is personal information, why not just tell him to hold it down for 10 seconds.

Because what if the moron calls back again? And the claim kept being escalated etc. They verify and maintain everything in order to track specific cases. They're also required by company policy to follow strict protocol. The tech guy did his job. It's DELL's fault that their tech support is anti-consumer-friendly.

MS is a different case. They take you through the garbage right off the bat, and you just keep climbing until you find a true tech-support, then its easy conversation time.

This guy lost it before he got to the tech-guy lol. I'm sure if he explained the situation calmly and respectfully, he would have gotten the quick answer.

This guy need to learn how to deal with people, the world is full of them...
 
The guy is just ****ed because he couldn't figure out such an easy fix for himself. He should be glad it wasn't one of those indian call centers
