Convert Itunes movie to dvd

So I recently bought a movie on Itunes and I want to burn it to a dvd to back it up but I can't figure out how. Can anyone help me?

Look for it in the default iTunes folder search for the file and back it up

I mean a back up dvd that I can watch on my tv, too. Basically I want to burn the movie that I already purchased onto a dvd so that I can watch it on my dvd player. It is an .M4V file. How can I do this?

From my understanding M4V codec is jammed with DRM to stop you converting the files, (stopping you from freely distributing the file).

You could try using software like Tunebite.

Or do what I do, and not use itunes.

check and see if mplayer will play it

if it will, its yours, you own it, if mplayer will play it it can be converted into anything you want

Tunebite worked well, thanks. I don't mind paying for it too much, my dad has a lot of Itunes music too so he might split the cost with me. I just had a real hankering to watch Star Trek IV and I couldn't find it online.
