computer desktop monitoring program

i'm looking for a program that I can install lets say on my laptop and my desktop computer so i can see the desktop on my desktop computer from my laptop.

For example, i'm downloading something on my desktop computer and I am currently using my laptop. I want to see how the download is going on the desktop computer via the laptop.


Is there such a program?

yeah i think there is. they got 1 in are school, i think it's from symantec or something. just search it on there website and you'll find one.

I believe that Virtual Desktop is the name of another one. Don't know if it's free or not.

The one from Symantec that Browz is talking about is PCAnywhere. That's the program that I always use. I like it, but I don't know how much it is, because work always buys the copies.

much speedier than PC Anywhere, its free, and it has a built in http daemon so no client install is required (just a java enabled browser)
