Explicit sexual entertainment is a profit center for companies including General Motors Corp. and Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. (the two major owners of DirecTV), Time Warner Inc. and the Sheraton, Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt hotel chains.
For hilton hotels!? You dont say :p

But Gonzales endorses the rationale of predecessor Meese: that adult pornography is a threat to families and children.
how the HELL is it a threat to families or children....it's called PARENTING, ya know that thing you do to teach your kids whats right and what to stay away from....oh but no, lets just make their jobs easier and do away with anything that they should be teaching their kids about in the first place

Now THIS is a complete waste of money...the war on drugs is too, but wtf.....what does what someone does in their private lives have ANYTHING to do with anyone else...they do need to cut down on the damn porn kind of spam and crap, how about they go after that or something..

buuut yeaaah, 'W@r o/\/ Pr0n!' riiiiiiiiiight

On a related note.. Have any of you guys been caught by your parents while u were looking at "porn"? :)

Or even worse.. Gay porn..

:D

Nah, saw another thread about this at some other forum except it was 'caught while polishing the bishop' lol....but I guess if you're 'porning' then the bishop will coincide :D

Never been caught though, but thats because my parents are old and don't ever bother me, plus I generally dont look at crap until they are asleep

I've been caught once! :(.. And it's not like they walked in on me either. Being an idiot, I forgot to erase my "activity" from the History of the browser. And my mom or dad somehow saw all the great porn sites in the address bar when they clicked that little arrow on the side.

I got a lecture for a few days about how it's not proper to surf for porn..

I was careful after that :)..

lol, yeah, it was always instinct for me to erase that crap, back when we only had one family computer.

OMG. The best time was this one time I was porning and I was prolly like 15 years old. The same year that address bar thing happened.. But before that happened.

I was in front of the computer and I heard footsteps coming towards the computer room. I knew I was a goner if they walked in. Anyways, since it was like a Pentium I or some crap, the damn thing was so ****ing slow in shutting down. So I just hit the power button..

And you can imagine the scene right after. My mom walked into the room. The room was pitch black. And I was sitting infront of the computer like a retard which wasn't even on.

I think I just said some shit like "yeah this computer, acting up again.".. Went straight to bed!. lol..

Ah, yes...a war on porn now.

Someone wake me when they mention that they've gotten around to doing an actual "war on non-parenting".

If people want porn, fine. Moderate it to keep the sickos screwing kids out, and the kids from from it, but leave the rest alone. We're adults.

The job of controlling this stuff should not be entirely on the government's shoulders. Parents need to be parents.

As for posting this spackle, it only serves for people to bytch about it but do nothing (or for the gov't conspiracy nutjobs to come out of the walls).

If you've got an opinion about the news, state it and let's argue about that. Otherwise it's just the same ol' news and politics that is as meaningful as it is useful.

I am quite sure every one enjoys their stay at the Paris Hilton.

Any one here remember that joke about the Queens Legs Hotel?.........

Last i read, i think it was over 75% of online activity is centered around porn. You all are going to hate me for saying this, but I find it a shame that all those CPU cycles and bandwidth aren't being used for something more constructive.
