I believe that it is just a Peltier in there, but I could be wrong. I've seen a peltier beer cooler, I'm going to make one of those.

Do they get hot enough to re-heat the coffee? As when in games, you don't want to fuss around with putting it on straight away, and then you forget it.

It may actually just be some coils that get warm when you pass electricity through them. I dont see why they wouldnt get hot enough to warm up cold coffee.

a while back when i had my pc on my desk, i ran some wires out of it attached to a peltier, had a the biggest heatsink i could find on the back of it, I drilled it into my desk, so it was essentially a coaster to keep drinks cool. worked pretty good with beer, it got the bottom ice cold and eventually cooled the whole thing
