I have ares and i like it alot. I havent gotton any spyware/virus'/etc. and the downloads are realy fast.

Shareaza is the best. Connects to 3 networks. Open source. No spyware.

I get crappy speeds and wait lines using Shareaza. O RLY? YA RLY.

LimeWire all the way .

Oh, and Azureus for BitTorrent. Never used another BitTorrent client, but it seems to be one of the best anyway.

Frostwire is a free open source of Limewire Pro. Exact same thing, just rebranded.

Use Frostwire, it is the same as Limewire Pro, just free. I am suprised no one seemed to have seen this.

Shareaza connects to the same network as eMule, limewire, and it even has it's own network of files called gnutella2.

the best... by far... is bearshare

the pro version is much better than the free... has no ads and such, and im not saying to pirate their own software...

personally, when i want to download a file from my other computers, i use BearShare (Pro) and connect directly via the IP address of the gateway computer... its nice downloading anything at 5+ mbps (total network connection)

for torrents (which i can honestly say the only thing i have used them for is to download files like a Linux DVD and stuff) i use BitCommet... free, malware free, fast, good, etc
