In year 6, i got suspended for one day.
Firstly, every one new me as the computer geek there as I was programming in BASIC while every one else just learning how to use a ball point ben.
(BTW, if you were using BLACK ball point pen, it ment that you where good to the teachers.)
Anyways, my normal year 6 teacher had to take over the principal's job for a few days, so we got stuck with this releaf teacher. And for some strange reason she change the seating arrangement, and I got stuff to sitting next to Wendy Chung. I hated this this girl. She had this attitude about Boy Germs, but if we added on the fact that I was white too, it must of been like the EBOLA Virus or The Black Death for her. For the entire week, she would hurras me for having ANYTHING on mine on her desk, even when she was not using it. However it was okay for her to put her stuff on mine (and over all, I really did not care, or make a fuss about it)
Anyways, come thursday, I got this other guy, Chirs Summers, he was using the computer (A crappy MicroBee) to do his creative writing. I had the closest desk to the computer too. It was about 5 meters away. And I liked sitting next to the computer too. The teacher rarely allowed me to use it as they did not trust my SuperL33T BASIC Skills, but as long as I was close to the computer I was happy)
(BTW, if you were using the MicroBee for your work, it ment that you where REALLY good to the teachers.)
Teacher's telling us to pack, and we did. Unfortunatly, my bag strap found it's way on Wendy's Desk.
Wendy :- Get your bag off my table.
Me :- Fine then!
(I snapped, I threw my bag on the ground, and shoved every thing else of mine on the ground.)
Me :- Ya happy now?
At that exactly moment, Chris is having a problem with the computer. He spent all day doing his creative writing project only to a power failure take it out. I remember this as I was about 5 meters away for the computer, and I saw the computer turns itself off and on and off and on again. At the time, i did not think any thing about it.
The teacher send me up to the Principal where I explained that Wendy was just being a b!tch all week and I just snapped. So I got a lunch time detension.
(BIG DEAL! It means in stead of going to the libeary to read a book, I am stilling infront of the office reading a book.
NEXT DAY, I got Chris calling me a Wiper. Now I have been called lots of names in primary school, and Wiper is just a new one.
Anyways, we get into the class with the releaf teacher. Thankfully she moved Wendy elsewhere. I sit down, and in comes my acting Principal (aka my normal Year 6 Teacher).
Normal Teacher :- You lied to be yesterday, I found out that you turned off the computer while Chris was working on it all day. (BLAH BLAH BLAH)
He would not even give me a chance to defend myself. And I got suspended for "Lying to a teacher"
To make things work, my parents had a hard time believing me too at first. In the end, my parents understood what was going on.
The problem is that a lot of the teacher (More back then as appose to now) don't know computer. However they find it a threat when one of the student do not more about computer than they do.
