hey ppl-do you know of any good background checking websites that are cheap or free?? most of them seem to be a rippoff or are full of spam bc..........thanx, sb:cool:

Start first with credit bureaus, they charge a nominal fee, then move on to local, state, and federal court systems.......those are usually free, I do those all the time, mostly online. If someone has been arrested or charged with anything even something as simple as a parking ticket you can get their phone number, address, SS#, DOB, all of it........its public domain info. Birth certificates are $16.50. Also check with secretary of state, company or corporate filings require accurate ID's. and that too is public domain, also usually available online. Bankruptcies and tax liens are also public domain. If anyone thinks they can hide, dont, you cant, someone like me can and will find you, or at least enough info to do so, it isnt hard.

There's 3 credit reporting agencies, pick one, fee ranges from $25-$50 or so. Then go to your county court house and punch their name into the records computer and see what it says. Most have two tiered systems, one for municipal stuff, and one for civil/criminal. Juvenile records are tough to get, and domestic records(divorce etc) usually need to be gotten in person. If your in a big enough city, google for your county clerk of court and see if they have online records available, it will show court case histories. Your looking for things like tax liens from the city or state, or judgements against them. Also check for small claims cases.
