Meryl Streep was borderline annoying in Julie and Julia, but I guess she pulled off her role convincingly.

I am really surprised about the popularity of Hurt Locker... anyone else?

Yea me too, It was an alright movie but I really don't think it was anything special. It was on the top of so many Movies of the year lists I had to go see it.

I liked district 9 better then avatar also.

Its a great movie, one of the best portrayals of military life to date.

Its popularity is owed to mainly troops...weve passed word around about it. If somebody had it, next thing you know 5-10 soldiers would crowd around a laptop and watch it. Being an independent film, i think its a pretty big deal.
