and luke... I could always get a rock which is much cheaper
Maybe thats why a certain someone else uses them as well, cant afford the more expensive stuff. (inside joke if anyone is confused lol)

The eee pad looks seriusly cool tho. Windows 7 compact, webcam, touchscreen, usb ports, what more do you want from a portable tablet pc. Its not meant to compete with netbooks, its a class all on its own.

I might just see what's available with Bobcat.
There are some decent netbooks, but not exactly what I'm looking for - the tablets are even less so.

Bobcat would be a good alternative to CULV based systems however it doesn't look like it will be able to compete with Pine Trail from a power usage standpoint.

Intels upcoming Oaktrail platform will offer much lower power usage than Pine Trail plus PowerVR graphics (aka GMA 600) so it should really be the idea platform for tablets.

How's performance per watt?
I'd like something that has close to mainstream performance - just with a long battery life, etc.
I think that's where Bobcat is really aimed; something in between basic netbooks and full blown laptops.

Not really looking for a tablet.
