Anyone read Plato's Allegory of the cave? Thoughts? I have a very, very clear understanding of it and was wondering how the layman interpreted it.

Just FYI, if you want to have a discussion about it, maybe you should rephrase your post... it sounds kind of insulting as it is.

Anyway, I read it about six months ago. My interpretation is pretty heavily influenced by my English teacher's interpretation, which is the generally accepted interpretation... so I'm not sure if that's what you mean by the "layman's" interpretation.

hah. When you're right, you're right...

That was intended only at GreenRadience. If it seemed insulting, I apologize, as it wasn't intended. I had the pleasure of having a good long discussion with my philosophy professor, Dr. Curtis Hancock. I was looking more for responses, and how other people may have taken it to compare to my discussion.

edit: Green was talking about me.
