Hey there is still drive in movies. There is one about 5 miles from me. Busy as can be in the summer as well. :p

  • Pay phones costing a nickel - Not if you had a blue box :)
  • Gas for less than a buck a gallon - Never happened.
  • Drive-in movies - Not in the UK.
  • A time before video games - Dead rat conkers.
  • Bookmobile visits at school - Pre networking wikipedia.
  • Smallpox vaccinations - FDR envies you.
  • Teachers being shown the respect they deserve due to their position - Sadly missing.
  • Marriages that lasted over ten years - very true.
  • Politics that were really "of the people, by the people, and for the people" - Oh boy.
  • Morning milkman deliveries - I still have that by mine
  • Foot push-button starters - The choke handle.

Pretty much new them all. There is a few that I have never used, but I have know of them

55. Waiting several minutes (or even hours!) to download something.
They forgot to included having your ISP complain to you about using 30% of their non-commercial bandwidth for 3 months straight.

I should also included the following
Logging on to Private BBS for chat rooms, forums and pirated software.
 
I know a lot of these too..maybe 15-20ish that I don't...To be honest I think it's kind of over dramatic lol...like a lot of this stuff is still around and I'm sure it still will be when we have kids. (and yes I know they use the phrase "may never know" )
 
The funny thing is that most this stuff was "high tech" for its time, and sad that most of it isn't more than like 15-20 years ago. It makes me wonder what will be mainstream in the next 15-20 years.
