Default SATA HDD Help

Hey all - new to the techforums and Im popping my forums cherry by asking a question

I recently built a computer as a project for school - It has a gig (2 512 sticks) of DDR RAM and a HD I'm pretty proud of - a 10,000 RPM Western Digital Raptor (74 GB). The problem is, I tend to use a lot of hard drive space for storage of things (as of now I have 1200 mp3 files and 3 seasons of a certain television show, taking up 10 gigs of HD space) and I need a second hard drive. I was wondering if getting a 7,200 RPM as a second hard drive will reduce performance (I dont think it will because it would be a storage device and not the one with the OS on it) If itll help, Ill post the specs to my system

ASUS P4c800-E Deluxe motherboard
Intel Pentium4 2.8e Ghz processor (overclocked to about 3.08 Ghz)
2 512 sticks of Crucial DDR RAM
Western Digital 74gb 10,000 RPM Raptor SATA HDD

I think that's everything pertinent here...thanks a lot

No it won't since you have your OS installed on your 10K Raptor
