Default RAM- what would you do in this situation?

I have 512mb of PC2100 DDR RAM salvaged from a system that I am replacing with one I am building. The mobo on the new build will accept PC2100 or PC2700. Is the difference in the memory speeds of these worth me spending the money on PC2700?

Yes, not only is PC2100 slower memory, but it will slow down your FSB therefore really causing your system to under-perform. Definately go with the PC2700!

it is well worth it. just to show you how much... try building it with 2100 work with it a day... long enough to get used to it's speed... then upgrade to the 2700... you'll notice!

The 2700 will make a difference and if your motherboard supports 3200, then that is the way to go.

3 different OS, so yep I\'m confused.
