Debby, download AVG then and a firewall.

Then go to this thread: http://www.techist.com/showthread.php?threadid=34713 and follow the instrctions and then post the HiJack log in the forum called HiJack Logs (Analyze) Forum so we can help see if your computer is clean. Liz

Default Thanks!

Hi, Liz!
Okay, I'll see about trying that all out! Now to check to see if I have AVG already downloaded I'll go to see in my documents and tell you what items of that kind I have there. You tell me if you recognize AVG, okay? Okay, here they are:
RegSeeker
Adaware
Cleanup 312
minibuginstaller
PCBugDoctor_newsetup
Setupengpro (I know that is for Avast).
It doesn't look like AVG is there, otherwise it would probably start with AVG.
I paid for Avast, but haven't been using it as it never seemed to find anything after a while. It might be caused by some problem on my computer that is preventing it from working properly.
I am curious - do you feel AVG is a better antivirus than Avast, and if so, why? Spybot also got so it never got anything any more too. So I finally uninstalled it.
I do use the Cleanup 312 now and then - assuming it helps some to keep the registry clean or at least help keep temporary files cleaned out.
Bye.

Not that AVG is better but if Avast isn't working? Then something is wrong. And even if Spybot isn't finding anything, use it anyway.

RegSeeker and Cleanup 312 are for the REGISTRY not an antivirus.

minibuginstaller is part of Weatherbug and here is what is said about it: http://sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/a...eatherbug.html

Hi, Liz!
I did all you said. None of the antiviruses found any viruses so they are unable to work because of whatever problems I have on my computer. But one of your diagnostic's links found some viruses, but wouldn't remove them as they want pay first. I deleted them from the registry from where I saw their names in there. I deleted them with the "search for files" feature on my computer. In my next post, I'll tell you the bugs that were found.
Thanks.
