Default Optimizing your Nforce LAN Controller For the Internet

*NOTE: Not sure if this is JUST for NF7-S v2 boards or any board with onboard lan and Nforce chipsets...so hey check it out and maybe it'll work for you to!*

There is a real quick and easy thing you can do that will better optimize your system with this board for the internet.

Simply Right Click on My Computer and choose "Device Manager"

Next Go to "Network Adapters"

Then Right click on "NVidia nForce MCP Networking Controller" and choose Properties

From here you want to choose the "Advanced" Tab. You'll see a box that says "Property" with the following options:

Network Adress
Optimize For
Speed/duplex Settings
WakeOnLAN From PowerOff

You want to choose "Optimize For" and then directly to the right you'll see a box that says Value and by Default it should be set to CPU...simply change this to "Throughput" Instead via the drop down menu and you've now optimized the network controller exactly for that...to better work to retrieve the files from the internet rather than communicating with the CPU.
