Default My lcd monitor wont turn off

i have a Elements LCD monitor, and just a few hours ago i tried to turn off my monitor to leave for a while and the button wouldnt work. i just blew it off and restarted thinking that was going to fix it but it didnt. later on i noticed that none of the other buttons worked as well, it has a Menu, a Select, arrows, and aut adjust button. thats why im perty sure its a fixable problem because if it was something internal the monitor would jsut not turn on.

Any ideas?

thanks.

Monitor is an Elements L5AK5A, for any reference needs

Well if you need your monitor off then put your system on stand-by. Or turn the computer off. I mean if the buttons stop working either do the stand-by or turn off thing. I never needed to us my bottons. So i wouldent worry about it.
