Default help removing processor + other question

I want to start building my own pc and have a few books to help me. I also have an old pc (still has a voodoo card!) which ive been practising on as it is only cheap now. It has a pentium 3 slot 1 processor and some heat thing, no fan. But i can't take the processor out of its slot (im stripping the pc). i dont know what motherboard it is as i have lost the paperwork for it (it was a off the shelf pc). The board is also broken aswell the plug for the 3 1/2 is not workin.
I also want to know how do i remove all storage memory off the hard drive as it may be of use in the future. (who want a new system with win 98?)

So, your trashing the processor and mobo?? Because nothing good now will support that mobo. If you want to delete everything on the hardrive, then connect it to a computer as a slave drive, then erase everything.

Finished With TF.
