Doom 3 will run with 128MB, but your weak card combined with your small memory amount is causing your problem. Upgrade your graphics card, and you should be fine. The Radeon 9800 Pro is starting to get pretty cheap, and it runs Doom 3 as smooth as can be.

that sounds like u have ur internal video card set up wrong u may want to redo it and then retry it again or better yet get a new computer that will fix it

hes right i had a fx 5200 128 mb version on my study comp and it has doom 3 and when i installed it it ran very poorly, then i couldnt figure out why. then i realized i needed the newest driver after running dxdiag and now i can play doom 3 on medium res with like no lag online and in single. doom 3 really isnt as hard as people say it is to run decent
