Default Computer Upgrade

I am upgrading my computer:
128 sdram
1.4 ghz prosseser
40 gig hd
very old graphics card: intel direct AGP 3D
windows xp home

and i wanted to know what is the best thing or two i can do for a high school student budget of $150? I'm about to repalce the tower, just cause i have a better one sitting around. So pleace let me know, im only planing on using it for music, a few games, and thats it.

ram upgrade, maybe add a 512mb as cheap as possible and spend the rest on a video card. everything else is ok

Peronsally i would save my money and work on getting a new computer. I wouldent put anymore money into that computer, that system is very out-dated. But if you must i would go with RAM for sure. With that processor their is not alot you can do, proformance wise.

you probably do not have an agp slot so u are kinda in a pickle for 150 dollars go to and get a new motherboard with a proccesor for 110$ or the chaintech with the amd sempron 2500+ for 90$ then get some better ram or get some ok ram and get rid of the old ram it might be a little over depends on what kind of ram u get and how much u get, for 60$ u can get 512 pc3200 400mhz. gotta kinda know what ur doing putting it all together but u said u are gonna switch to a new case so u should know what ure doin

Get a used intel celeron 1.8 for $30 and sell your old one.
A graphics card built by a 3rd party with ATI 9200 is about 50
I dont know how much SDRAM goes for nowadays but it must be cheaper then DDR. Get at least 512.
