Angry Compatibility

I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 notebook, and my hard drive burnt out on me. I contacted Dell and they said it would be $200 for a refurbished replacement part! I am not sure what kinds of hard drives would be compatible with my notebook, and I was wondering if anyone could help me out.

Just about any miniature hard drive. Find out what harddrive you have now and measure it

Any 2.5 inch drive should fit providing the pins (IDE connector pins) on the drive line up with the socket.

A laptop hard drive is a laptop hard drive. They have adapters on the pins, but they pull right off. Any 2.5 inch 4500 rpm (or whatever it is) notebook harddrive will work.
