Default CD-RW and DVD ROM drive corrupted

I use Windows XP and somehow Windows does not recognize my CD-RW and DVD ROM (Liteon DVD-ROM LTD 163D & NEC CD-RW NR-9200A).
When I open through control panel, the following message shows:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (code 39)

I tried to delete both driver and install again by plug-and-play, but does not work. This might have happened after I downloaded Windows Service Pack 2.
Please help!!!
