Default AMD 1900+ to AMD 2800 help!

hey, i seem to have this problem wher emy compter is telling me i am am stil with the 1900+ when i have upgraded, its really anoing, ne one no why it has not changed the system details?
if you could tell me anything that be really handy

you gave no specific details on which processor you have, I'll assume your 1900 had a 266Mhz FSB and your 2800 is the 333Mhz version. if that's correct enter cmos setup on bootup and set cpu external frequency to 166Mhz and cpu multiple to 12.5

if you have the 2800 266mhz version set cpu external frequency to 133mhz and cpu multiple to 15.5 .....that sounds high.....somebody should check my math for me
