Default Also trying to build first computer...

Sup everybody? I was wondering if you all could help me figure out if my computer components are compatible? I don't want to do any overclocking, really just email, surf the internet, burn music, do instant messenger and things of that sort. I just want to know if what I have is sufficient and compatible. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you...

It looks like it fits, but I'd probably go with a newer vid card. How much is your budget?

I don't see the point in getting more RAM. Its only for surfing, music, messenger etc. No need for more RAM, no need for a better graphics card.

Yea, even with 512MB of RAM, XP still lagged after exiting a game. Not until I had 1GB did I have enough to keep XP at full speed all the time.

if you want a smoother and less annoying experience i would agree, go with a little more ram its cheap as hell these days... and for graphix you can get a card to handle that for real cheap i think that 9600le linked above is nice.

Your specs are OK for these applications. Enough RAM, sufficient graphics card.
