Default Accessing a laptops hard drive

My wife; who is so thoughtful, "accidentally" spilled a glass of orange juice into the keyboard of my Dell inspiron laptop.
Needless to say, the unit will no longer boot up. I think that just the mother board is damaged.

My question is: (besides buying a new mother board)

Is there anyway I can access the data on the hard drive from another computer? Can I purchase a cable or something like that?

Any help will be great!

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, you can get laptop drive (2.5 inch) external caddies that will connect to a desktop PC via the USB connection.
You can then access the drive like any other drive on that system & copy the data across

Yes, provided the laptop drive is not damaged obviously.
