Default 2 rear Creative Speakers not working

I have Creative 5.1 speakers with a Creative Audigy Soundblaster 2 S ZC and I can only get my front 3 speakers and sub to work.
I have my comp set to 5.1 and with a few different configurations using the onboard audio I was able to get one of the speakers to work sporadically, it would come in and out during a song.
Now neither works. I have tried swapping the left speaker and right speaker plugs to no avail.

Please help.

Yeah, i have the same problem with my creative labs 5.1. What sucks about all these 5.1 6.1 7.1 speakers are that they come with so many damn speakers, witch have all these long wires. Im pretty positive it has to do with how close they are. I noticed it happens to me when they are bounched up. Personally i have nowhere to put them, so they are very close. I think if you have a right speaker near a middle, then it cancles one out.

Im not positve, but theirs no other reason. But yes it happens all the time to me.

Are all of the plugs in the back plugged in correctly? Like Codeine said, they come with all of those speakers and wires and it sucks. I'm relatively sure that it has to do with the way the plugs are connected to the card or the subwoofer.

I'm not sure how it happened, but evidently Windows decided to switch my sound system from 5.1 to 'Computer Speakers' or what not.
I hit the drop down menu and took it to 5.1 and now it works fine. Who knows how that got switched up, oh well!

Thanks anyway everyone!
