Hey guys,

I have a very confusing situation here. The WiFi in my parents' home keeps dropping out of my pc and my mothers iMac, but it works fine on mobile devices (tablets, phones and laptops).

I've tried various (standard) things to try and fix it, but nothing seems to work.

The WiFi router we're using is a TP-Link TL-WR941ND 300 Mbps Wireless-N router.

If anyone can help me I'd be delighted. Maybe I'm just being an idiot and it's an easy fix!

Thanks in advance!

Drivers up to date for the wifi cards?

Could try updating the firmware on the router, if there's an update available. Did it just start doing this recently, or has anything been replaced and then started doing it?

I updated my wireless adapter driver, and now it's a little more stable, but it's still quite unstable and I'm getting 2mbps download MAX, while on the laptop I get 30mbps download speed.

Could a firmware update help? I mean, it seems that the problem is in my pc somewhere, since all laptops and mobile devices don't have any problems what so ever.

A firmware update would rule out the router's software not acting right with your PC/Mac.
