Zone Alarm question

hi
i got zone alarm thinking that it will protect my comp from getting hacked into but i think someone has actually done it. when i started my comp today zone alarm told me tat there was a new network added onto zone alarm and that its using my internet.

i got an ip address of this person. i dono if its my own or if it is something else. how do i find my own ip address?
my computer has reset it self twice today in 2 hrs. so i dono whats going on.

how do i find out if i actually have been hacked into.

To find your own IP, do the following:
Start > All programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt -> ipconfig

And there you go, with your subnet mask as a side dish.

Odd...i got curious and wanted to see my own too... well when i type in ipconfig in the "run" the ms-dos window comes up but then suddenly goes away... it flashes up and then its gone.. anyone?

Start, run, type cmd. type netstat then the ip address, hit enter
