i have heard about WTC (world trade centre) virus that circulated through e-mail.

apparently the virus deletes all .dll's. can a virus really be this powerful?

if i get it, can i just delete it, without any worries? should mcafee pick it up, if it is up to date?

ahhh! i should have named the thread different! i opened it, and it said wtc survivors. then i realized it was from TF...

WTC Survivor Virus....

It's a Hoax. NO such virus is currently in circulation...so NO it can't delete all your DLL files...though a few others can. There's another version..that says "Open this email will wipe your C:\ Drive". Again...untrue.

so there is nothing to worry about whatsoever, then?

someone at scholl caught wind of the e-mail, forwarded it, and it made its way around something like 1500 people in about 2 days. lol
