will this help prevent viruses?

i came across this mozilla add-on and i was wondering if it will help me keep out viruses as well as spam?

It will help but on an email level. It's not going to stop any downloaded software or webpages that contains viruses, spyware, etc.

You just need an antivirus, security add-ons like Adblock Plus, NoScript, and a common sense not to download or go to any suspicious websites or programs.

thanks for the quick response.

i've downloaded noscript and i quite like it. i think i'll continue to use cleanzer though as i like it in my toolbar and it makes signing up to websites really fast. shame it can't do anything to help directly with viruses though
