I not sure that it is a virus I have. I've just had good results with that VirusScan boot floppy in the past and would like to have it for use on other computers I have. When I went to the store to buy the program its CD only now.

The problem with this computer is accessing the interweb. I have to click on my home page ten times and it might load one of those times. Thats why it takes me so long to respond to your replies.

I thought it was a virus until I called Comcast. They pinged me with some packets and got a 60% loss. They claimed it was their equipments problem. So there might be a happy ending yet.

There is a happy ending! The cable techs showed up and found a bad modem. They said a cable modem has a life expectancy of three years. This one was almost five.

I ended up fixing all the viruses on my other computer by using the Maxtor MaxBlast floppy along with the "clear CMOS" jumper. There's not a virus alive that can stand up to that.
