just cleaned out a virus with Smitrem.exe and it work well but now my display and back ground will not change from white. When I click on display properties its shows that the address is
C:\windows\\wamhp.html. Can anyone help, it is only on one user the other two work fine.

I have the same problem, ( wamhp.html ).

Have you found a fix for it yet? Ive tried all my virus protect programs and ad - aware etc. Would appreiate if you let me know if you find a fix.

Yes I found out how to fix it, go into your display properties
then desktop, customize desktop, click on the web tab, and then uncheck the wamhp.html. It took me awhile to figure this easy solution out but it works

I followed your advice and got to the Web tab and did not have the wamhp.html file. But I know that file is the malware that is causing my problem. If you happen to come up with any other info Id appprecieate you sending it my way and Thanks again

Then post a hijackthis log in the hijackthis section. The Smitfraud/Spysheriff infections changes several registry keys and desktop settings.
