With the defense attorney asking for 15 years and the prosecutor wanting 25, I guess this guy's sentence was a compromise that made everyone happy. Well, maybe not "everyone."
Sentencing him in Boston, Judge Patti Saris said: "This is the largest and most costly example of computer hacking in US history." The sentence was less than the 25 years demanded by prosecutors and Saris said several factors were taken into consideration.
