I have recently used this freeware on a PC I was working on after I re-imaged a HDD. I was installing Windows 7 over an old XP image and didn't know the user had a D: partition. I used windows easy transfer and thought it got everything. Well it didn't. I felt like I was screwed. The user had not backed up his PC for over a year and all his files were on his D: drive. After some timely research I had come across TestDisk. This is a DOS like program and recovered the D: partition that was now "lost". I was just sharing this with everyone cause I found this extremely helpful. Has anyone else used this?
